Just wanted to make a post to relate a problem I encountered on the iseries. I use classes to adjust the priorities of various Domino server tasks. On startup of the Notes server, the server task, which had the best priority, would sometimes go into a very tight loop, using 99% of the system forever and none of the other task were able to get running. Holding the server task for 15 seconds, then releasing it would get the other tasks going and then all was ok.
I ran the problem thru Lotus support and they are going to create a tech note. Solution (workaround) is to not set any of the tasks to run at a different priority. I tried to find which task caused the problem, but was unable to do so.
